Our Story

Tarragon House Candle Co. began in 2024 in our kitchen in Mesa, Arizona. Together with my husband and the support of our mini schnauzer Milo, we launched Tarragon House Candle Co. What was my obsession with candles turned into a beautiful business. My wonderful husband is often found behind the scenes but quite honestly if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here to share our story.  

I’ve always loved candles, especially Yankee Candles. My mom and I would often shop at Yankee Candle smelling each and every one on the shelf. I would often come home with bags full of them (or dolly carts- and no that’s not a joke), until one day my husband asked, “Why don’t you just make your own?”

He thought I’d have fewer candles. He was definitely mistaken.

What started as a single cabinet filled with candles has quickly grown into an entire office outfitted to the craft and a garage full of candle-making and show supplies.  But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Candles bring me joy. I love the way a scent can transform a home or a space and make it feel exactly how you need it to feel. Maybe it’s the warm comfort of fudge brownies filling the kitchen, the feeling of beach waves drifting through the living room, or the nostalgia of Christmas pine in the bedroom, even in the middle of May. Afterall, it’s always candle season.

To me, candles are more than something that smells good. They create an atmosphere. They bring back memories, set a mood, and make ordinary moments feel a little more special.  Every scent has the ability to take me somewhere to a favorite memory, a familiar place, or simply a moment of happiness.

This is the inspiration behind Tarragon House Candle Co, creating candles that bring that same feeling of nostalgia, comfort, and joy into your home.

All of our candles, wax melts, and sprays are hand mixed, hand poured, hand packaged, and hand decorated.  We make our candle gems from scratch.  Our fragrance load of 10% is among the best in the market.  We believe that the personal touch of class we put into our craft sets our product apart from the rest.
